System openness
Other applications can have authorised access to data. Access to data base by standard ODBC devices allows the specialist who implement and integrate it to adapt the product to individual user needs.
Efficiency and stability
The system works in customer-server architecture. Data base server is transactional. Therefore the system works in a fast and stable manner, even in large network installations and data accuracy is independent from external factors such as power cut, server or network connection emergency or the influence of other programmes.
Data safety
ODL has got a built-up multi-level protection system of access to data sources. Complete separation between the user, data sources and places to store copies protects the system from external interference accidental or intentional attempts of unauthorised access. Administrator has got a set of tools at his disposal. The tools will help him to control users’ access to selected data resources
